FECAVA Newsletter – January 2022
Dear Colleagues,
It truly has been a long wait, but now we will finally be able to meet again in person for a combination of an excellent scientific programme and for outstanding social events at the 27th FECAVA EuroCongress, this time in the iconic city of Prague right in the heart of Europe.
Like no other event, the FECAVA EuroCongress if giving veterinary professionals the opportunity to meet colleagues from the whole continent (and beyond…) to exchange ideas, to gain knowledge together and most importantly to spend time together to enrich the views and perspectives of our profession beyond any national borders.
The 27th FECAVA EuroCongress in Prague will take place from 8th – 11th June 2022 and you will find further information about the event in this month’s newsletter.
Make sure to take advantage of the Early Bird registration fees and I am already looking forward to seeing you for some unforgettable days later this year in Prague…..
If you are a veterinary student in the final two years of your course and you would like to attend this event as well, but you cannot afford it, then think again….
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of IVC Evidensia, FECAVA is able to offer ten free student congress tickets plus a generous contribution towards your hotel and travel expenses.
All applications for the FECAVA IVC Evidensia Student Travel Scholarship have to be submitted to IVSA, the International Veterinary Student Association by 31st March 2022 though.
You can find more information about the scholarship in the newsletter or on the FECAVA website on www.FECAVA.org.
In Prague we are also looking forward to honour with the Didier Noel Carlotti Award, named after the iconic founder and first President of FECAVA, a member of our profession who has provided an outstanding service in the fields of interprofessional communication and/or continuing education for companion animal veterinarians in Europe. Nominations can be made by any individual FECAVA member, by a local or a regional group of colleagues or by national member organisations.
Please refer to our website for more details.
As you can see, there is much to look forward to in 2022!
Please do enjoy this FECAVA Newsletter!
Yours truly
Wolfgang Dohne DrMedVet MRCVS
