FECAVA Newsletter – July 2022

2. August 2022

Hi all,

I hope you all are enjoying summer, for sure it has been hot in every FECAVA country.

I started my summer with a trip to Rhodes, no not for a holiday, but to attend the ISFM Congress;
It was great to finally meet in person again, and I cannot tell you how good it felt to be on an island, close to the beach and the swimming pool with a group of CAT CRAZY people. One thing I can tell is: that Cat people know how to party. But they are excellent at organizing great lectures as well!

As the secretary of FECAVA, it made me even more proud to have ISFM on board as an associate member, which means not only we can share information and content of the ISFM website, but on every FECAVA congress there will be an ISFM stream from now on. So ‘cat vets’ be ready and follow our FECAVA FB page.

Even better… we will have a FECAVA/ESVCE/ISFM workshop at every congress to work towards dog and cat-friendly practice. The program is ready and will be launched for the first time at the FECAVA/WSAVA joined congress in Lisbon. This workshop will be open to veterinarians as well as nurses.

Dr. Nathalie Dowgray, head of ISFM, announced the 2022 International Society of Feline Medicine Virtual Congress to follow from 30/07/2022 till 31/05/2023. Do not miss this out as it will help to create a cat-friendly world
Do not forget that the 8th of August is International Cat Day, so spoil your cat patients a little extra, give them their own music, give them the comfort they need, lower their stress and make them Kings and Queens of the Universe.

The world is a better place thanks to cats.

FECAVA Honorary Secretary
